We are from Regional Children Youth Centre. We have some group of young children. One group from the "School for the creative orientation" has the teachers with the fringe approach to the education. Another group is studying English. The age of this children are the same as the pupils of the Beaupre Community Primary School. They would like to get a letter in real English not "imagine" as they study here without contact with English speaking children. My English is bad as well. So I try to improve it reading the letters in English. I like travelling like you Steven Hales so we will perhaps meet each other somewhere on the unnoted on the map tourist footpaths. Fist meeting will be in the internet during this project I hope.

We collect very good group of pupils with different interests. My pupils like to make the electronic constructions by their own hands. Have you the same section at your school ? Our pupils would like during this project to find the colleagues with the same interests. But our Regional Children Youth Centre has many studios in Craft Disign and Technology, in dance, quire, in making soft toys etc. So we can answer your questions in different directions of interests. Our Center give the pupils the great opportunity for the added noncompulsery education.
I have been to Helsinki only once in 1975. There was very nice trip. I remember this visit till now. I like travelling very much and I am very often tell to my young friends to my pupils about life in different countries where I have been to. This project I think will be a very good trevelling round the world. So I do all my best to attract the attention of our pupils to this project.

We have read everything about your school with great interest. This time we would like to ask you to look at the map and find our ancient town Yaroslavl which is on the river Volga. Our town is very picturesque and beauty especially in summer time. It is situated at the confluence of the two rivers Volga and Kotorosl. We name this place "arrow". We think the name of your town goes from oak tree. Our town named by the Prince Yaroslavl the Wise who has found it in 1010. Russian poet Sergei Esenin named our country as the "country of birch calico". There are many wonderful city's place of interest in our town but I think we'll tell you about it later during this project.
I am a teacher in radioelectronics and I have some experience in my speciality but our pupils added me more gray hair than pupils have done to Biil Spafford becouse now I have no one black hair. I have been to Amsterdam in this nice town of streets and channels. It is very interesting how Linda Swanson has found in Amsterdam your small Lowell Middle School in the big Oakland. I hope my teenager pupils will find new friends among the pupils of your school.

Our school years begins at Septtember 1. It is holiday called "Knowledges
Day". All students come with flowers to the school at this day, especially
1 grade students because this is 1 school year for them. There are meeting
and two lessons we have in this day - lesson about Russia and "knowledge
lesson. School year ends May 30. 9-11 grade students have exams in June. 5-8
grade students have work practice for 10-20 days.
We also have breaks in school year: in autumn for 8 days, in winter for 10
days, in spring for 12 days.
We have very cold spring now and it is very difficult to say which plants will flowering in May 16.

Hi my name is Vicki McIntyre, and I go to Coleraine Girls Secondary school.
We just received a letter today and we had to reply in our environmental
studies class. So at the minute my friends are trying to reply to every
letter. My teacher, Mrs Irvine told us how she just sent off and
information pack to your school in Greece. Well, I've never been to Greece
but from what my Mum and Dad tell me it's a nice sunny place! Unlike the
weather over here in Northern Ireland.
Well, summer will soon be here but from the weather outside you wouldn't
think it!! In our school there are just girls so we don't have any annoying
boys to tease us, but their school is on the same campus - next door really.
Each class consists of about 20-25 girls.
The town where I live, Coleraine, is quite good fun because it's a bit
touristy and a lot happens. However, it can get a bit crowded for a small
town.

irish meals. We eat a traditional Ulster fry sometimes which contains eggs,
bacon, sausages, beans, soda bread, potato bread and wheaten scones.
For lunch we might have a bowl of home made soup which contains many
nutritious vegetables and wheaten bread with butter, jam or cheese.
For dinner we might have Irish stew which is mainly potatoes and vegetable
like carrots and onions and minced steak usually.
Other typical breakfasts might be porridge, scones, pancakes, toast, cereal
or toasted potato bread.
Other typical lunches might be salad sandwiches, ham and cheese toasties,
omelette etc.
Other typical dinners would be meat vegetables, potatoes and gravy or rice

Here are some details of the food and when we like to eat it over here. For
breakfast at about 8.00 am we would have a range of foods for example
cereal, toast, porridge, Ulster fry - which consists offried egg, sausage,
